Following a successful career in tennis, Anand Amritraj played in the Davis Cup for India for some 20 years reaching the Finals in 1974 and 1987.


He was ranked top 5 in world doubles for 10 years and was the winner of 27 ATP and WCT Doubles titles.


A semi-finalist at Wimbledon and the US Open Doubles in 1976, Anand went on to bacome Wimbledon Grand Champions winner in 2003.


Ranked top 50 in Singles with wins over John McEnroe, jimmy Conners, John Newcombe and Tony Roche.


Anand Amritraj became a successful broadcaster and presenter for Star TV Asia from 2000-2008 and has commentated for the BBC during their coverage of the Wimbledon tournament in 2001 and 2004.

He was honoured to be the Captain of the Indian Davis Cup Team at the Seoul Olympics in 2002 and also at Doha in 2006.
